Illegal Aliens shouldn't even qualify for mortgages? In the few ive had ive always had to show SSN, Drivers license, previous 4 years excise statements.
If Illegal Aliens are getting loans its because of one of two reasons.
(1) Identity Theft and/or false documents
(2) The loan officer is looking the other way to make money on what amounts to a amazingly bad loan.
Either way someone will pay eventually (taxpayers that is)
Bottom-line giving loans to inhabitants who shouldn't even be here is a risk in itself and should have no bearing ones legalized status.
